Mylky Way Smoothie

Happy New Year friends! I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season! I can not believe we have entered into 2017. Woah. I love fresh starts and am super excited for this next trip around the sun.

How are you all doing so far on the intentions that you set? Whether you had a long list of goals, or your intent was to stay on track with all the awesome you are already doing, let's rock it this year. 

Even on the coldest, snowiest day here in Montana, my one constant has got to be smoothies. It is still my favorite way to get going no matter what the temp is outside. I love how delicious and nutrient-dense they are! Throw a bunch of super ingredients together in a blender, and fill your glass to the brim with goodness. Simple, easy, delicious. 

This Mylky Way creation is on the top of my list when it comes to smoothie recipes. Almond milk, banana, dates, flaxseed, maca, cacao, nut butter..all of the makings for the most decadent, antioxidant, and omega-3 rich drink there ever was. 

Mylky Way Smoothie

(Makes 1 Serving)

Ingredients:
1 cup unsweetened almond or hemp milk
1 handful spinach
1/2 banana
2 pitted dates, optional
1/2 scoop vanilla flavored vegan protein powder*
1 Tbs raw peanut or almond butter
1.5 Tbs raw cacao powder
1-2 Tbs ground flax, hemp or chia seeds
1 tsp maca powder
dash of cinnamon
a few ice cubes + a splash of water

Instructions:

1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy!
